HARMAN’s Martin Professional Launches Range of Hardware and Software Solutions at Prolight + Sound 2014

FRANKFURT, Germany — Today at Prolight + Sound 2014, HARMAN’s Martin Professional introduced a range of new lighting solutions that include the MAC Quantum Profile™, Martin ShowDesigner 6™, as well as additions to its VC-Grids™ and VC-Strips™ lines.

MAC Quantum Profile™

The MAC Quantum Profile pairs the latest in LED technology with Martin’s propriety optical designs to deliver superior light output. Setting new standards for combined performance and size, this lightweight lighting fixture offers a uniquely compact frame that provides low power consumption and precision movement.

Martin ShowDesigner 6™

ShowDesigner Version 6 is the largest update to Martin’s proprietary 3D Lighting Design program since 2007. The latest iteration features a completely new user interface that is designed to increase productivity as well as the ability to drag-and-drop all design elements, such as truss, fixtures, and textures, onto a new multi-view 3D visualizer. Also, Martin ShowDesigner 6 combines DirectX11 with the latest 3D engine technology to improve rendering time on any video hardware.

HARMAN’s AKG Offers License-Free Operation and 128-Bit Encryption with DMSTetrad Digital Wireless Microphone System

FRANKFURT, Germany – At ProLight + Sound 2014, HARMAN’s AKG is introducing the DMSTetrad digital wireless microphone system. Ideal for a variety of applications ranging from concerts and clubs, to conferences, this license-free wireless system offers uncompressed audio transmission, superior RF performance and 128-bit AES standard encryption.

The AKG DMSTetrad digital wireless microphone system features an integrated 4-channel mixer, and an antenna front mount kit. With 24bit, 48kHz audio coding, it provides uncompressed studio-quality transmission and a linear frequency response, for uncompromising vocal and instrumental performances. The DMSTetrad’s 128-bit AES standard encryption prevents tapping of the audio signal, which makes it a perfect companion for high-security conferences.

The entire DMSTetrad system features the DSRTetrad Digital Stationary Receiver, the DPTTetrad Digital Pocket Transmitter and the DHTTetrad Digital Handheld Transmitter, available with AKG’s patented D5 acoustics or as DHTTetrad P5 with standard dynamic capsule. Two sets are available, the DMSTetrad Vocal Set including the DHTTetrad P5 and the DMSTetrad Performer Set including the DPTTetrad together with a C111 L earhook microphone and the MKG L instrument cable.

The DMSTetrad can be quickly assembled and ready to use. The DSRTetrad receiver can work with up to four channels of audio in parallel which can be mixed down directly to its balanced XLR sum output. The dynamic frequency selection (DFS) ensures that only the cleanest frequency bands are selected for the connection between receivers and transmitters automatically.

Feel The RUSH with HARMAN’s Martin Professional At Prolight + Sound 2014

FRANKFURT, Germany — At Prolight + Sound 2014, HARMAN’s Martin Professional will host its annual RUSH event at the Gibson Club in Frankfurt on March 13. In addition to a great night of fun, the venue will showcase the RUSH™ by Martin line, including Martin’s RUSH Multibeam 2™, MH 4 Beam™, and PAR 2 RGBW Zoom™ lighting fixtures.

PL+S attendees can collect their free ticket to the RUSH event by visiting the Martin stand (Hall 9, A93) during show hours. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis and all event attendees must be at least 18 years of age. Martin will also be giving away a different RUSH by Martin product each day of the show. Attendees can enter for a chance to win at the Martin stand.

The RUSH by Martin line features a comprehensive and affordable range of profile, wash, strobe, beam and pin spot luminaries for DJ and club effects. As a compact moving head for smaller venues, the RUSH MH 4 Beam houses a fixed gobo wheel and color wheel for a multitude of effects, such as dimming, strobe, 6-facet prism, and focus. The RUSH Multibeam 2 is a versatile effect featuring two moveable LED bars each with five individually controlled narrow beams, as well as preprogrammed macros for powerful yet easy effects. The RUSH PAR 2 RGBW Zoom is a bright single-lens LED PAR Can with fully premixed color from 12 RGBW LEDs that offers electronic dimming and strobe.
